The smell of linseed oil, the sound of the rolling brayer, the rough feel of the etched plate - all come back to me when viewing your lovely etchings and plates, Karen.
Many moons ago, as a college student I studied printmaking. The etching process was one of my favorites. Your photos of etched plates make me want to explore that medium again.
Very nice to see the plates from which you've pulled the etchings. The plates themselves have always reminded me of antiquated tintype photographs.
Etching is such a wonderful process! It is frustrating, but satisfying!
